Posh set to pick Oscar gear for TomKat Victoria Beckham is set to help her new glitzy friend Katie Holmes pick out an outfit for the prestigious Oscar ceremony.



The former Spice Girl has become close to the Hollywood star and, along with husband David, has also struck up a friendship with Katie's other half Tom Cruise.

Now, with the Academy Awards on the horizon, Victoria is said to be helping the famous couple choose the right wardrobe.

A source quoted in the Daily Star revealed: "Victoria has the most amazing idea of what will look good on both Tom and Katie and has already discussed various fabrics and designs with them.

"They were originally planning to wear their favourite designer Armani's clothes. But Victoria has convinced them to go with her ideas instead."

Victoria was also involved recently when helping Katie for a photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar magazine and the pair have been photographed out together on a number of occasions.

The British singer will have plenty more chances to mingle with her new friends, as football star David will ply his trade in the US from next summer after signing a multimillion pound deal with Los Angeles Galaxy.
